I’m guessing you’re a lot like me. I’m seeing AI everywhere. I found 8 new tools just last week that let me generate AI video content out of seemingly “thin air.” I’ve been blown away at the progress and speed at which it is overtaking us. This right here, as a human, has me a tad worried.

Even as I write this post, I have tools suggesting I use their tools to generate the content you read. That’s why today, I’m drawing a line in the virtual sand. Consider this my commitment to not try to trick you, deceive you, or manipulate you with generative AI. That doesn’t mean we won’t find ways to integrate it into our platform. Generative AI is an amazing resource and one that can definitely better our society and our digital toolkits. But we aren’t going to be a company that posts 3 machine generated posts a week, or even each day. We value authenticity. We value the work it takes to create something. And, we want our tools to be useful. We also want the information given to be relevant and backed by real-world, hands on experience.

For 20+ years I’ve worked in film and video production. I’ve valued my role as a “digital execution”-er. Uhhh…someone who executes creative digitally. I’ve written hundreds and hundreds of commercial, industrial, informative and comedic scripts. It takes work, effort, knowledge, experience, and soul. That’s what AI will never have. It may get really good at faking it, but it will never have it intrinsically
